LPMN STATE CONVENTION

A GREATER MINNESOTA

Join us in beautiful Duluth for a weekend of fun, education, and deliberation as we set the tone for the future of the Libertarian Party of Minnesota.

Saturday’s business meeting will be followed by educational programming, a keynote speech by Libertarian National Committee Secretary Caryn Ann Harlos, a murder mystery dinner, and our famous karaoke party.

Come back Sunday for a hearty breakfast to help recover from Saturday night. We’ll finish up Saturday’s business, hold party elections, and welcome the slate of Libertarian presidential candidates for a forum and Q&A.

A GREATER MINNESOTA

According to the Cato Institute’s Freedom in the 50 States Index, Minnesota is the ninth-least free state in the United States.

The two-party duopoly is devoted to restricting our movements, eliminating our businesses, and silencing our voices.

The Libertarian Party of Minnesota is the only voice for true peace, prosperity, and freedom. 2024 is a presidential and senatorial election year.

Our ballots will be chock-full of lockdowners, gun-grabbers, tax-and-spenders, harrassers, abusers, and socialists. (And that’s just Donald Trump!)

LPMN has our best opportunity in decades to make a dent in the duopoly and work for a greater Minnesota.

At the 2024 LPMN Convention you’ll have the chance to meet our candidates from the local level all the way up to our presidential primary field.

Join us and be part of the conversation.

Libertarian Party favorite Adam Nutter and Minnesota native and Ron Paul guy Mike Earley will be joined by two of the Twin Cities’ favorite acts, Ahmed Khalaf and Aidan McCluskey. Click below for more information.

SATURDAY KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

CARYN ANN HARLOS

The Libertarian Party of Minnesota is excited to welcome Libertarian National Committee secretary Caryn Ann Harlos to deliver our Saturday keynote address. This will be open to all ticket holders.

If you’ve been around the Libertarian Party for a while, you know the Pink Flame of Liberty. In addition to her role as an officer of the party, Caryn Ann is a tireless volunteer, passionate activist, principled candidate, and popular content creator.

Well-known as a firebrand in the Libertarian Party, Caryn Ann’s radical message is sure to leave you fired up.

DAN McKNIGHT

Dan McKnight is a 13-year veteran of the military, with service in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, United States Army, and the Idaho Army National Guard, including an eighteen-month combat deployment to Afghanistan from 2005 to 2007. He is founder and chairman of Bring Our Troops Home.

SATURDAY MYSTERY DINNER: A MURDER ON THE NORTH SHORE

Put on your detective cap! There’s been a murder on the North Shore and your help is needed to crack the case.

Join us Saturday evening for a delicious plated dinner and a murder mystery game written by Libertarian novelist Josh Cybulski.

Dinner is included with the VIP All Access Pass tickets or a la carte. Dinner is open to all, so stock up on tickets for the family! (Note: The puzzle and subject matter may be a bit mature for younger kids.)

SATURDAY EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS

Everyone knows Libertarians love to learn, so by popular demand, educational opportunities are back! Here’s what’s in store:

  • Panel: What I Learned on the Campaign Trail LPMN Vice Chair and Political Director Chip Tangen will host a panel of current and former LPMN candidates. Whether you’ve considered running for office or think there’s no way it’s for you, you’ll want to be in this class.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE COMEDY SHOW

You don’t want to miss some of the most hilarious comedy acts around! Check out our lineup:

Introducing Your Headliners...

Adam Nutter

Who needs Dave Smith when you can get Adam Nutter? Hailing from PA, Adam is the third-hottest and second-funniest Libertarian comic in the country.

Following Adam, Tom Woods said, “How about that comedian, eh? I can’t match his jokes, but I’d just like to say that I also have a penis.”

You know Adam from bars and clubs across the Northeastern corridor, Libertarian Party conventions around the country, and his podcasts The Porcupine and Cult of Us.

Mike Earley

If you’ve been around for a while, you’ve seen Twin Cities native and Ron Paul guy Mike Earley opening for some of the biggest headliners at the Acme. Mike’s libertarian-flavored comedy is a hit with normie and libertarian audiences alike.

Even though he abandoned us and moved to Mordor (aka New York City) a few years ago, Mike felt homesick and agreed to make his triumphant return to The Land of 10,000 Lakes just for LPMN!

Featuring...

Ahmed Khalaf

Refusing to back down during the COVID-19 pandemic let this Twin Cities favorite hone his craft while his colleagues were staying home scared. You’ll remember Ahmed’s dark and hilarious jokes from the Acme Comedy Company and his vanquishing of the competition in Sisyphus Brewing’s Funniest Person in Minneapolis Contest.

Aidan McCluskey

A native of Galesville, Wisconsin, Aidan McCluskey is one of the hottest and hardest-working comics on the Twin Cities scene. Four months after his first open mic, Aidan won Acme’s Funniest Person Contest, becoming the youngest winner in the contest’s history. Today you can catch him at the Acme, the House of Comedy, and Sysiphus.

And here's your host...

Krag

Influenced by heel characters like Bobby “The Brain” Heenan of old-school wrestling fame, LPMN member and comic “Krag” brings a unique form of persona-driven comedy. You’ll love his dark, dirty, dry, and cerebral brand of comedy.

Note: If you’re offended by dark humor, dirty jokes, and cusses, you might want to skip this event. It’s definitely not for kids or snowflakes.
